Training for Local Authorities

Model 1: Accredited Trainers

For LAs who have the internal resources and the capability to train their schools, as well as a designated leader responsible for LP training and implementation in schools.

Requirement: Minimum, mandatory requirement

it's learning will help develop a training programme to meet LA objectives and success metrics. Includes:

  • training ICT Advisory team and lead teachers (if applicable)
  • on-going support
  • feedback
  • measurement of programme success.

Leaders attend a 5-day accreditation course to prepare them to deliver the Learning Platform training in schools. After initial accreditation, leaders will attend one ‘Best in Practice’ session per term during roll-out phase.

Model 3: Learning Platform Implementation Support

For LAs who may not have a full-time leader responsible for LP implementation and may require additional leadership to run and/or support the programme, its progress and deliverables.

Requirement: Optional, Part-time role

it's learning will provide an increased level of Programme support, leading the LP training and implementation across the LA.

Model 2: Freelance Trainers

For LAs who may require additional resources to train individual schools and to reach their implementation timescale goals. Suitable for LAs with  full-time LP project leader.

Requirement: Optional

it's learning has a team of highly-qualified educationalists available to assist you in training schools.

Model 4: Fully Managed Training

For large LAs who have aggressive timeframes for implementation and may require a full-time leader and additional ‘ICT Advisor-level’ training resource(s).

Requirement: Optional, One or more full-time, dedicated trainers

it's learning will provide a dedicated trainer that will lead the Programme as well as run training sessions within individual schools.
