Get the keys to your new VLE!

Having the best learning platform is not enough - you need to be given the keys to get started and the tools and knowledge to be able to get the most out of it.

We offer a wide variety of courses, workshops to help increase the confidence of teachers and learning platform administrators together with our new Aspire+ Accreditation Programme.

The Aspire Training Model

In order to gain the maximum value from itslearning, we provide training that not only develops your understanding of the learning platform, but also focuses on raising achievement in the classroom.

ASPIRATIONS: We work together to identify the aspirations of the organisation. There are always quick wins that provide a springboard for good early adoption of the VLE.

STAKEHOLDERS: Starting with the "VLE champions" we identify relevant stakeholder groups and put together appropriate training and adoption plans for each.

PLANNING: We establish milestones, points of engagement, training schedules, review dates to create a project plan for your organisation.

IMPLEMENTATION: Delivery of our training plan to the agreed schedule.

REVIEW: Together we consider the effectiveness of the implementation and ensure that the plan is on course or can be adjusted to meet evolving needs.

EMBED: Transformation of learning and a proper return on investment can only be achieved when school management focus on user adoption to embed the platform into the fabric of the school.  We provide strategies to help you achieve this.

Training courses near you

We are always running training courses across England, as well as being available to suit your specific requirements.  Please watch this space for details of training sessions coming soon in your area.

Aspire+ Accreditation Programme

To help schools in creating the best possible implementation of their learning platform at the lowest cost, we have created an accreditation programme for both practitioners and administrators of itslearning. The programme is based on self study courses with support from our training team to deliver intuitive multimedia resources that guide users through the different developmental stages of our learning platform.

Users study course content, watch training videos and complete a variety of activities and assessments. The unique concept of the accreditation is that the activities will direct and encourage participants to build engaging teaching and learning resources that they can use with their learners as they progress through the course.

The aim of the courses, on a local level, is to have e-learning/itslearning champions who will have had formal training on the VLE. These e-champions will usually be ahead of other teachers within the school and will provide a support mechanism for their colleagues using the accreditation course materials as tools to develop the skills of their colleagues too. Both the pedagogical and administrative courses have three levels, bronze, silver and gold and certificates are awarded upon completion of each level. Read about the Aspire+ and the different levels.

Workshops

Teaching with itslearning

We will run hands-on workshops for teachers tailored to meet your specific implementation objectives.  Teachers will learn how simple it is to create content for learners.

Courses

VLE administration

These courses are designed for the learning platform champion or person who will have overall control of the system.  Delegates will learn how to add/manage users as well as structuring hierarchies, dashboards and courses in the optimum way for their school.

Seminars:

Collaboration through the VLE

We bring groups of teachers from local schools together to look at using the VLE collaboratively to share resources and reduce the time spent creating them.
