it's learning school wins Queen Sonja's School Award 2009

Flåtestad Secondary School in Norway has been awarded Queen Sonja's School Award 2009. According to the jury, the school's focus on equality and inclusion is remarkable and has shown convincing results. it’s learning congratulates our long standing customer, Oppegård Local Authority with the award!

Flåtestad strives to build their students’ self-confidence and self-esteem, and the jury is impressed with their continuous focus on providing all students with a sense of well-being and security.

The award for equality and inclusion was established by Her Majesty Queen Sonja four years ago. This year’s award was presented by Her Majesty on 3 December during a ceremony at Flåtestad school. Also present was the Norwegian Minister of Education, Kristin Halvorsen.

Presented it’s learning to the Queen

Teacher Bjørn Bakke at Flåtestad, an enthusiastic it’s learning user and former trainer, had the honour of presenting the school’s work on it’s learning to the Queen and her entourage.  14 year old Sindre Jåstad also explained how it’s learning helps him overcome the challenges of his dyslexia.
