Privacy is an essential consideration for any school. To ensure privacy of students and teachers – and to protect sensitive information – itslearning limits who various users can see in the system, and what functions they can use.
The itslearning system enables administrators to set privacy settings for each user role, limiting what information they have access to in the system. For example, the administrator can decide whether a user has access to the school dashboard and it’s learning messaging system. The administrator can also decide who certain people can find and communicate with in the system. This enables the administrator to ensure certain user groups can only see information relevant to them.
Some rules are set by default in the itslearning system and can’t be changed. These mainly apply to who certain users can search for an communicate with in the system. For example, parents are only allowed to send messages to their children and their children’s current teachers and mentors.
itslearning comes with default roles already in the system. However, the administrator can change the names of the roles – and create new ones – as they see fit. The default roles are:
