Early learners, primary and secondary age children have different interfaces within itslearning. Teachers can select interfaces that are appropriate for the age and ability of the learner.
The early learner interface is specially designed for early learners. A colourful appearance, simplified tools, and easily recognisable icons enable even the youngest children to use and enjoy itslearning.
Our 'Animal Misfits' interface is designed for young learners and allows the teacher to create a wider variety of content for them once they reach the age where they need to be able to complete tasks and submit work online. Click here or on the image to see larger screenshots
Released for BETT 2011, our new Space interface can also be used with young learners and provides similar functionality to 'Animal Misfits'. To infinity and beyond!! Click here or on the image to see larger screenshots
Older learners enjoy the full features and functions of itslearning and can, if empowered by their teacher, create content to collaborate with their peers. Teachers have control over what functions individuals or groups of learners can use. We currently have a range of 3 interfaces that are suitable for use with older learners as seen here. Each of these interfaces can be customised by the teacher for special educational needs use as he/she has full control over activation of the relevant the tool sets. Adding Widgit's new extension allows SEN teachers to bring their symbol word processor into the VLE to help children with limited reading skills.
