Individual Learning Plans

The Individual Learning Plan (ILP) is a common platform for students, teachers and parents to set and track individual learning objectives.

The ILP links past, present and future, allowing students and teachers to:

  • Evaluate past work
  • Set current status
  • Plan future work
  • Set targets

As such, it is an excellent channel for home–school dialogue, providing a structure for meetings and linking to available documentation.

The it’s learning ILP allows teachers to:

  • Monitor student progress across ILPs
  • Link to resources
  • Link individual goals to learning objectives
  • Choose visibility of comments
  • Receive change notifications

The it’s learning ILP allows students to:

  • Set status
  • Comment on progress
  • Log activity
  • Evaluate their own effort
  • Reflect on their achievements
  • Receive change notifications

The it’s learning ILP allows parents/carers to:

  • View progress in the Parent Engagement Dashboard
  • Review learning plans in parent–teacher–student meetings
  • Stay engaged in their child’s education
