Increase creativity with 2Simple

2Simple was started in 2000 by teachers and IT professionals with a common mission: to make software that really helped children learn.

2Simple software is widely used in primary, junior and infant schools.  It is simple, easy to use and relevant with activity support videos and guides.  With an emphasis on creativity, 2Simple is designed to make a real impact on teaching and learning

Create web-based documents with this engaging programme

Pupils can write anywhere in the document, and pictures and other objects can easily be added, moved and rotated.

Not only can pupils create ordinary text documents containing text and pictures, with j2e pupils can also create drawings directly in itslearning, and they can carry out investigations. They can also listen to the text being read out as they write!

Prize-winning communication tool ready for itslearning

EMAS UK is offering a virtual communication tool to help Norwegian speakers communicate with non-Norwegian speakers by easily entering sentences. You type, the programme translates, the programme talks – and you communicate.

EMAS UK has developed an anywhere/anytime tool that does not require software downloads or special training. You can easily access it from the Add menu in itslearning.

Talking Tutor was awarded the prize for the most innovative product during this year’s British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) awards. Teachers and academic professionals see the software as “the tool that will revolutionise the way we talk to non-native speaking students”.

The world’s best known encyclopaedia now available in itslearning

As well as traditional encyclopaedia entries, Britannica also offers comprehensive web-based learning tools for all teaching levels.

Students can look up traditional reference works in addition to atlases, timelines, learning materials, magazines, websites and videos for more information and help with homework.

Find up-to-date information in magazines and publications about current affairs. Make use of exercises and guides in subjects such as English, maths, science and social science. The articles are ideal for use in the classroom or for projects and homework.

More than 39,000 pictures and 2,000 animations, sound clips and videos as well as daily content updates such as “Biography of the Day” and “This Day in History” make Britannica Online an important teaching tool.

Finally a digital songbook in itslearning

Why not take a whole band or symphony orchestra into the classroom? The songbook from Grieg Music Education is an interactive songbook which lets pupils sing along to songs in a range of categories and even replace the vocals with their own voices. All the music is performed by a genuine band and by the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra.

The GME songbook contains both traditional and popular songs performed by a genuine band or an orchestra. It will also be continually updated with seasonal and theme-based songs. The advanced edition of the songbook allows users to record their own singing along with videos of their performance.

Better than printed books

The songbook allows you to easily add traditional songs or modern rock and pop songs to itslearning. All the songs come complete with lyrics, music, notation, karaoke and recording functions.

All recordings are stored on the student’s profile and can be submitted to the teacher or shared with friends.

For practical reasons the recording feature will not be available during the trial period.
