Get debates going in and outside the classroom with the itslearning discussions tool.
For some students, debates and discussions can be stressful. Speaking in front of a group of fellow students can be difficult, and as a result some students rarely contribute. The answer could be online.
Shy students are often more likely to express themselves in online discussions and debates. The discussion in itslearning are string-based, meaning that students answer each other's contributions – just as they do in a verbal debate – and because the discussions are saved, students can refer back to them when they want to revise the subject.
If the teacher decides, students can post anonymously in discussions and debates. Students can also select an avatar (an icon) to make their posts more personal and recognisable.
