With DirectEdit, multiple users can edit and save the same document, marking essay marking and collaborative writing simple.
Keeping track of documents can be difficult in a large organisation – especially when a number of different people are involved in editing the same file. Often, the only option is to send the document back and forth by email, using files names to ensure you’re working on the latest version. The solution is DirectEdit.
To edit a document, a user simply clicks on the file and starts working. The document is then locked for editing – meaning that other users can’t make any changes – until the file is closed. itslearning automatically backs-up the file while you’re working, so if you lose your internet connection or accidentally log out of itslearning, you can always recover the latest version of the file from a temporary folder on your computer.
Note: DirectEdit is an ActiveX component and can only run on Windows operating systems with an Internet Explorer browser.
