International Organisation

From humble beginnings, starting life as an undergraduate university project in the 1990's, itslearning has rapidly grown into one of Europe's fastest growing technology companies. With revenue in excess of £12 million and a staff of 110, itslearning is now a global market leader in developing, deploying, supporting and hosting learning platforms and educational software.

Everything we do is focused on ensuring that itslearning is not only the best learning platform available today but also remains the best.  This means that not only do we maintain a significant spend on research and development (about three times as much as is the average for a software company), we also have opened up our source code to content providers and other 3rd parties so that they can integrate their applications and tools into our platform.  By doing this we are ensuring that our platform can meet the needs of schools in integrating software, tools and data that are essential for teaching and learning in the digital age.

We have offices in London, Birmingham, Bergen, Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin, Malmö, St Petersburg, Amsterdam and Boston.

itslearning UK

Our learning platform is used by learners from the age of 4 through to 18+ in over 1000 schools and colleges across the UK.  Our customers have enjoyed the benefits of 4 major new releases of the platform over the last year and many more are scheduled for the future.  These improvements are delivered seamlessly as a result of our centrally hosted deployment model which ensures everyone gets the update simultaneously, usually with no interuption in service.

We have listened to customers who told us that they need solutions for integrating their learning platform with other systems, so the UK team have developed products to meet this need.  Our Lynchpin system has been designed to facilitate the automatic provisioning of learning platform accounts.  This saves schools a lot of time, effort and money as pupil and teacher data is entered once into the school's Management Information System (MIS) and Lynchpin then allows it to be used many times.  Lynchpin is based on standards (SIF or IMS), so it will also work with other compatible systems (e.g. cashless catering, door entry systems) that are also standards based.

Further integration can be achieved where our MyIdentity system is added to Lynchpin.  MyIdentity eliminates the need for multiple usernames and passwords across different systems. Using the Shibboleth standard, MyIdentity manages credentials across different systems so that users can access all of those systems via a Single Sign On (SSO).  Once users have signed in via Shibboleth, they can access other Shibboleth enabled systems without having to enter credentials again.

Local support in the UK

Supporting customers is very important to us as, having a subscription model for all of our products and services, we have a vested interest in keeping our customers happy.  We have therefore invested in dedicated training and support teams in the UK and have offices close to London and Birmingham.  Customers can have full confidence that we are able to respond to queries and react to any issues quickly using technicians and educationalists who have a good knowledge of UK education and the use of learning platforms in the classroom.

The UK support team can be contacted on our freephone number 0800 977 5714 - all UK customers have free access to our support team.
