08:00 - 09:00
Arrival coffee, Registration & Early Bird workshop

Come along early and enjoy breakfast courtesy of just2easy.com, creators of the BETT Award winning tools: j2eCreative Toolsuite and j2webby. Trusted by over 5000 schools. The Just2easy Team will be on hand to discuss informally how the toolsuite engages learners of all ages. The j2eCreative Toolsuite is fully integrated into itslearning and find out why Montpelier Primary School in London just won the LGfL Award 2012 using the j2eCreative toolsuite and why Ofsted noted that...'When coupled with confident and interesting use of information and communication technology, pupils became fascinated in their learning and were keen to press on and learn more. Thus, pupils learn very quickly because they are enthused and because they are enabled to use their imagination, stimulating many other aspects of their learning...' - Montpelier Primary School's 'outstanding' OFSTED report April 2012

Tim Rylands - Out of this World. ICT to Inspire!

While pressures on educators can push enjoyment, inspiration, creativity and fun out of the classroom, teachers recognise the need to inspire young people and fire their imaginations, enhance their creativity and confidence, encourage resourcefulness through challenge and motivate a love of learning for life.

Tim will lead a journey through a huge and accessible range of ways to engage and motivate students of all ages and abilities, pointing out essential elements for quality learning experiences and how these can have a massive impact on standards, achievement and enjoyment.

Come prepared to be inspired and leave with many practical ideas to apply back in the classroom.

I am learning, Michael Wilkinson, Managing Director, Raising Attainment Through Games-Based Learning

It was Plato who said "Do not, my friend, keep children to their studies by compulsion, but by play." Game based education has always had the potential to motivate and engage a new generation of learners. Aligning the fun of gaming with testing and assessment offers students the opportunity to learn in an environment they are not only comfortable with but would seek out given the choice.

This workshop will show how I am learning has been used together with the itslearning platform as a whole school, key improvement strategy.
